I have a contact in my phone, with just a number. I am also friends with that person on Facebook. How do I sync those two together? I have the original Droid for Motorola. Does the person need to have their number on their Facebook for it to sync?

If the names are written the same they should sync automatically - if not go into the phone contact select the soft settings key and choose "edit contact" now select the soft settings key again and choose "join" then select which contact you would like to join it with
