Facebook push notifications?

Is there a way to get my Fascinate to alert me of a facebook message? Thanks in advance.

Facebook push notifications only seem to work about 10% of the time. What I did was create a separate email for my Facebook account so anytime I get a notification I get an email.

I am having the same problem with my thunderbolt. How can I get notifications from facebook. I don't have to go on the internet if I have a facebook application. Help.
