How do you use the new Facebook places thing on a Droid Incredible ?

Open it up, type in what you want to add.
IE: "McDonalds"
Save it and then add details.

It's really easy.

There should be an icon in the main menu on your phone that says "Places"
Tap on that and it'll come up.

This is my first droid phone, I have a Samsung Captivate. I'm having trouble with Places, too. So in order to check into somewhere we have to first add it then add in the details? On one of my friends phone (she has a Samsung Vibrant) when she types in a place it automatically pops up and she just chooses it. Last time I tried to add a place it didn't add. I added details and everything but it took longer than 10 minutes and I just gave up. Does it usually take that long?
