facebook app keeps opening

Facebook app keeps opening in background and killing battery. Any suggestions?

Don't worry about it......seriously, Android is made to perform this way, apps run in the background, and Android will sort of pause the app, so it will be ready to go if you decide to launch it. By killing the app with a task killer you create more work for the system to close it and then whenever you open it later it has to relaunch the entire app again whenever it would've paused it for you

I've had the phone for about a month and it just started doing this the last couple days. My battery was gone by mid afternoon and battery use indicated facebook app being the reason. I'm not running any task killer.
