etiquette app?

I came to android from an omnia it had a feature that silenced the phone by placing it face down. That is probably the only thing I really miss. Anyone know of an app with that function?

I don't know of an app that will do that, but have you tried Locale? If you just want to phone to be silent during a certain time or at a certain place, then Locale should work pretty well.

There is an app like that, I cannot recall the name of the app! I will look for it and if i can find it I will get back to you ASAP...

I have looked at locale. It seems like a really cool app. The company I work at doesn't really stick to schedules so time based doesn't work well for me. I can always use the volume rocker and go to vibrate or silent. It was nice to just lay the phone on the conference table rather than fumbling for buttons. I did see an app that turns the speaker phone on by placing the phone on its back so I believe it should be possible.
