Why do I keep getting an error when trying to install this new update? Does being on 3g or wifi matter either way? As soon as I click on it to install, an error screen pops up then i have to wait a couple days before it gets pushed to my phone again to try.

Do you have the stock OS? Or are you rooted and have a different ROM?

Call Verizon or visit a store. But I will warn you, they are going to suggest you do a factory reset.
