Motorola has decided to disable Miracast on the Moto Z Play probably to force users to utilize the projector snap mod or to force users to use chromecast. If you don't have either of those accessories you are kind of out of luck without the ability to use miracast. However there is a way to enable it on this device. For starters you will need to be rooted. Once rooted all you have to do is modify a single line of code in the build.prop.

Simply change the line "persist.debug.wfd.enable=0" to "persist.debug.wfd.enable=1" and then save the file, and reboot your phone. Once the phone boots back up you will be able to use miracst on your device.

I know the Play has a Different SoC, I didn't know that they achieved ROOT on it. Wonder if this will happen for the Force.
