Emargency help!! Milestone dosent boot!!

Yaba

Member
Hi guys.
I am carrying a Europe Milestone 2.1, i know its different from the droid.
But i am sure u can help me...

My device is rooted, i flashed a new rom as update.zip, it did the update,
rebooted and - thats where it ended - stays on white M logo!!

Now i cant access anything on the device cause of course, the sdcard dosent mount...

How do i fix this...?? I am lost.....

Thanks a lot!

Link the thread where you got this file from. And also see if your recovery has an enable usb option. It may be hidden under other options.

I did the rooting with ADB recovery. No sbf files there...
Chief, i am sorry but i have to split for like 2 - 3 hours, will be back here than.

Waiting for your help....
Thanks a lot in advance!

I do believe there are Milestone sbf's out there. I am sad to say not too many people know much about the Milestone here.

Sorry to hear that happened Yaba, sounds like you got a hold of a ROM that wasn't compatible for your version of the Milestone.

Easiest solution is to Follow the Instructions in the MILESTONE 2.1 update and root guide thread, and pick a UK SBF file when you reach that step.

This will flash your phone, overwriting anything you put on there that broke it before. AKA: Giant reset button.

Hey man, thanks a lot for your answer.
Actually, at the end, i sorted it out myself cause all the solutions i have been given -
non of them worked....

Lucky for me, i had a good backup of nandroid files on my laptop.
The only thing was to figure out how to get them to the right place since i had no approach to the sdcard or the device itself :)

I found somewhere an open recovery, which gave me the option to do the nandroid
backup and restore. I mounted the sdcard through a nokia device and that gave me the option to copy the "good files" to it.

Anyway, main thing is i am over it :) And, learned how important is to have a good backup. It realy saved my ass.....

Cheers!
