emailed MP3 to myself, trying to save to DroidX

I'm at work, no access to my USB cable or computer at home to save to SD card.

I emailed an MP3 file from my work computer to myself. I can play it fine on my DriodX, but am not able to save it to the phone.

I have ringdroid installed and will use that to translate it into a ringtone.

Any tips on how to save it to the device or should I just wait until I'm home to copy it over?

Media files like MP3 go to the SD card, not the phone. It should be sitting on your SD card already saved.

You can check this by going to your Files and locating the mp3 you emailed over. It should be on the card, I'm not sure what the location would be.

I sent it to my Gmail account.

By doing the PREVIEW in Gmail, it opens music players to hear it. Does doing that automatically save it to the SD card?

Looked through phone files before posting. I'll check again.

I HIGHLY recommend dropbox will put an end to all your file transferring hassle, I use it almost everyday and its free! :-)

I have the same problem at work, I noticed you can login thru the website and access your files without installing it. Small login icon top right corner, I just noticed it last night. Hope that helps if not please disregard :-p
