email virus

I got several emails apparently from a friend - had link to site where friends name was embedded in a "news" story about a work from home scheme. Tricked me into going to site. Now my phone is sluggish periodically. Any ideas?

Force close the browser. I doubt you got a virus or malware, etc.

You don't have a virus. Do as suggested and I also think a simple reset of the phone is in order.

Hey have you guys seen anything on this recently? My wife's droid3 is sending emails as if theres a bot or something on it.

Her email password seems to have been compromised. Just change the password on the account and it should be good.

Basically when the password it compromised it's shared with a spamming website. This happened to me years ago and all I did was change my password and it never happened again.
