Email notifications

Does anyone know how to stop email notifications?

Yes while in the email app, open up the menu and go to settings, there will be an email notifications option towards the bottom, but this has to be done on each email account that has notification set up.

Unfortunately, I don't know either. I had to go into my email and mark all my messages as read so the phone would stop notifying me.

In the Gmail and Email apps all you need to do is tap the notification so that it will display the appropriate inbox, then you can just close your inbox; the message notification should go away.

After that the notification shouldn't come back until new messages arrive.

There is also usually a button at the top right of the Notification panel (when it's open) marked Clear, if you tap that it removes most types of notifications.
