Email notifications?

I have sapphire 2.0 installed and love it other than the fact that I am never notified that I have received a new email.

Also, when I go into the email app I have to manually refresh it.

I have checked the options to make sure notifications are on and also have made sure that my account is syncing.

Any idea what the problem is?

I have an idea of what the problem is. You didn't give a lot of information in your post, like what email you use. That might be helpful.

I'm guessing you are not using Gmail as your main email. That's fine, but remember this is a Google phone. What you can do is go to your Gmail account on line and have your mail forwarded to Gmail. You do that in the settings.

If that doesn't float your boat you can try another email app like K9 or Touchdown. But I think Gmail is the way to go.

I'm using Gmail now. But I was checking out that K-9 Mail after seeing that so many people use it and it works well (so far).

I would rather use the gmail app if I could though.

What app are you using? What type of email account? Always include these details.

What does that have to do with anything? I use Exchange as my primary email and I have no problems. If Android was only good for gmail it wouldn't be very useful.

Touchdown should not be blindly recommended. It is only suitable for Exchange accounts.
