Eating pizza at 5am

Does anyone work 3rd shift? My sleep schedule is so messed up from 3rds that I can't ever sleep normal hours. Not even on vacation or weekends. It's 5am and I'm up eating pizza....

I worked third shift for two and a half years and my sleeping pattern was screwed the whole time. I've been off of it for about five months now and it's a 60/40 split that I might sleep during normal hours (40 being the normal hours).

I feel like I would love 3rd shift on occasion. That it would be fun and adventurous until it was no longer new and the fatigue would take its toll.

Pizza is great, anytime. I don't work 3rd shift anymore. I actually got a job working for DirecTV. Work from home, phone tech! It's great. I work mornings now. Love it.

Third shift can be a killer until you finally get used to it. Some people never get used to the shift. It has it's advantages, however, and I can certainly relate to your situation. Pizza is one of my favorite foods to eat. There have been many of nights I have had pizza early in the morning. I understand how hard it can be to change your sleep schedule. I always hated weekends working third shift. I would work Friday night and stay up all day. I would have no problems Saturday night, but Sunday into Monday made things challenging. Back to work on Monday night most of the time was a killer after trying to nap during the day on Monday but typically failing to get any rest before I had to go into work.
