I have been using DxTop for ever now, and really like the diamond screen setup and the ability to setup applications in category folders. But I wonder if I am missing out on one of these other two launchers. Has anyone tried all three and can offer up a review?

I used DXtop when i first got my droid, and used it up until i rooted my droid (months and months ago) the main reason i stopped using it was that the bugs just kept building up and it didnt seem like it was being updated much. It was a great launcher but it almost seemed as if the developer toke the money he got and just up and left. Now granted i havent used this in months so i could be wrong now. The diamond home screen setup was nice though. made it easy to get to each screen.

LauncherPro: used it almost right away and havent turned back since then. The developer is constantly adding features and pushing out updates which is a definite plus :) its really smooth and doesnt "hang" like other launchers when doing stuff. i dont really notice any bugs with it, and even if i do its fixed within hours with a quick update. i purchased the Plus version not really for the widgets (even though they are nice) but to support the dev.

ADW: used it for maybe a day and it just seemed slow and laggy compared to launcherpro so i uninstalled right away.

All in all, DXtop was great when it first came out but not so much now. ADW seems laggy and slow, and well launcherpro is just amazing :)

but then again this is all my opinion ;)

I use Launcher Pro exclusively now. I wish I would have never bothered buying GDE.

I just tried launcher pro and although I didn't give it about an hour, I installed and went back to DxTOP. I would really miss the category folders and the diamond configuration too much. As far as updates go, the developer doesn't throw a new one out once a week, but over the past couple of months, there have been a handful that has helped in smoothness.

Opposite for me. I was using GDE at the time, but gave DxTop a try. It didn't last long.

Panda, DxTop, Helix, GDE and Sweet Home are ones I've tried, but all I have now is Launcher Pro (which I donated to add some widgets) and the standalone (i.e. for non-rooted) ADW.
