Duplicate text Mesages on HTC ERIS

My htc eris began sending and receiving dupicate messages today (10/6) i do not use a secondary messaging app and it has never done this before. its getting very frustrating and ive taskkilled multiple times and turned phone off deleted all messages and still no fix. does anyone know what to do?

The same thing is happening to me, also. I have the HTC Eris with all of the current updates. I do not have a second messaging app installed either.

I am on the Verizon Nationwide + Canada plan. It started today (Oct-06-2010) for me.

Any suggestions or solutions?
