Drop Out Menu

Hello...I am very new to the site and to Droid. I have a Droid X with 2.1 installed. I'm trying to figure out how I can get the Google search box to have the Drop-out menu. This is a link to where I read about it, and from what I can tell it should be part of 2.1.

Android 2.1 introduced this visual style of menu on people inside Gmail and in the contacts list; nice to see it extend to other UI controls.

they were just talking about the dropdown in the other apps, the dropdown on the widget search bar is only available in 2.2
