Droid2 Global Power Button Issues

I've had my phone just over a month and the power button is sticking, is there any way to fix this? Also, when I hold it straight up and down the screen continues to shut off, but if I hold it sideways, where I open the keyboard it works fine. HELP! This is my first "smartphone" and I need all the help I can get to fix these issues. THANKS!

Hello and welcome to the forum!

If the powerbutton is sticking, that could be a hardware problem...the screen flickering and such could be related to a rogue app but could also be a hardware as well...best option might be to contact VZW tech support and see if they have any solutions or if they will replace your device.

I'm sorry I have not thanked you for the help concerning my issue, it's just that I've been VERY busy and unable to respond. The answers have been of much help. I do hope you can and will be able to give me some advice in the future. I'm sure I'll need it!!!

I had issues with my power button not working so I did a factory reset just for the heck of it and it turns out it was a rogue app so you may want to try that
