Droid X corp. Email not syncing

My corporate email program was working fine. Then without any changes in the settings, it stopped working. I've done all of the troubleshooting... what gives? Anyone know how to fix this?

Actually, I've been around this 'technology' thing for a lot of years. I'm a bit more than a novice user (quite a bit). And, since I am the "IT guy" for my home/home-office, I'd be the only person to make a change to either side. Seeing as how it's my own Droid, and my own gmail account, I'd also know if I'd changed any settings - and have, since the problem started, checked and re-checked all of the settings on each side.

So, if you think something changed, AND you know what it might have been, I'd love to be enlightened by the details from your analysis.

Thank you,
~C

I was going to offer up some suggestions, but then I read your last post and wondered to myself, "Self, do we want to help this sarcastic prick that doesn't bother to give full background in his original post, then is a dick to the only person that offers up a little info to help get him started in solving the problem he's having?"

Bigg5Duece - You've read way more into what I said before than was there - ever.

Seriously, it's a simple problem and it's bugging me. I joined this forum today, hoping my fellow Droid/Linux nerds could help a brother out. The first time I post on this forum, I get blasted for being 'a dick' and 'sarcastic' by another user. Is this what's to be expected in here?

Please, will someone help me without choosing to be offended, or without me having to kiss someone's pansy ass. (See, I can actually BE a dick, when warranted. However, Bigg5Duece won't be able to see over his own wounded ego long enough to realize I'm actually being 'real' and very respectful in my first two posts.)

Incidentally, Backnblack, I do appreciate your input. I'm just way beyond that stage of info gathering. If you have any further ideas, please share them.

Thanks,
~C

Then I apologize... I obviously interpreted your statements incorrectly (It's been one of those days...) Since that appears to be the case, I am sorry for my reaction.

Have you installed any new apps lately, particularily any utilities that may affect your data connection? I recently tried out Juice Defender based on a friend's recommendation and found that while it did help my battery, it absolutely destroyed my corp. email syncing. I sometimes would not get an email on my phone for 3-4 hours after receiving it on my PC.

Since none of this was in your OP I was going for the easy things first.
That being said, I use Touchdown and never have sync issues.

Cool. Thanks for the info on Touchdown... have to check into that. And, I'm a fast learner when it comes to my original posts. Seems I'm a rookie in this forum. ;-) I'll be more clear in the future.

PS-Bigg5Duece - I'm glad it's not anything personal. I'm sorry you're having a tough day. Hopefully my comments don't feel like I'm kicking you when you're down.

No worries...Its best to give the most information that you can....

I too have been noticing the same problem the past 2-3 days, but it affects all my email. It will not auto sync to my phone. I can only manually refresh for it to pull in any emails. This affects Corporate, my home account, and my gmail account.

I have juice defender installed but disabled. I have not downloaded any new apps that would affect data connection to the best of my knowledge. I know my background data is on, I have the box checked to fetch email if needed (set for 15 minutes and it doesn't do that either). I have noticed that my 3G connection seems spotty at times, and this has happened in the last couple days as well. Sometimes the only way to log in to my facebook app is to open up a wireless connection.

I can access NewsRob without problem and Plume without problem. I can surf the internet without problem. LIke I said, seems like the 3G doesn't always work, and the darn email...

Have changed nothing on settings, have deleted accounts and created them new again. I use Cox for both home and work, so thought perhaps it was a Cox problem as they are implementing their online TV viewing this week.

Anyone else having this problem who is also utlizing Cox? Thanks in advance for your help.

Go to motorola support and they will give you a Touchdown license. I actually bought it for oir other phone. I havw been very happy with it. Its the best app on the phone.

I hope you guys can give a first day rookie a break on this easy question. I've had my corporate emails working fine on my X but can't believe there isn't an easy method to delete the hundreds I have accumulated without hitting delete and waiting for each one.
Any fast way to clear these off the phone. your help is much appreciated.
