I recently bought a new phone and now I have my old Incredible just laying around. I'd like to know if it can be used like I use my old iPhone --which is essentially like an iPod touch now and works fine over wifi. Can I do this with my droid?

I tried to connect to my wifi and it would not do anything. Is it just dead in the water now?

Maybe try a factory rest on the phone. Also, do other devices connect fine. The problem could be your router. When you say the phone "won't let me do anything", do you mean that the phone is stuck on activation? To skip the activation, just press the button to call activation and hang up. Repeat the steps several times and it will say skip.
