droid usb help

droid no notification when plugged into computer

i am having some trouble with my new Droid 1 when i plug it into my computer via USB nothing happens no notification where i can mount it or anything Ive even tried putting music on it via micro SD but no luck please help my computer os is windows 7 home premium 64 bit dancedroid

Have you tried a different USB port or a different computer all together? Sounds to me like the phone doesn't know it is plugged in. I would start by trying to plug it in a different computer and if the phone recognizes that it is plugged into USB, then it is most likely your USB port.
