Just received the "Droid Pocket Guide" by Jason O'Grady today. A quick skim suggests it covers the basics very well. Well written and informative in a sort of conversational tone. Doesn't appear to be very useful for those already well familiar with the Droid but it's far better than the inadequate little pamphlet that comes with the phone or the manual from Motorola.

What it doesn't do is cover some of the really gnarly topics like handling email for anything other than a vanilla connection to gmail or a simple POP3 client. On the other hand, it does provide a good explanation of terminology that will help newbies know what is being discussed.
