Droid keeps restarting!

I just plugged my phone into my computer to let it charge, and now it will keep randomly restarting...what's wrong does anybody know?

If the battery is low enough it doesn't have enough power to boot up but it's plugged in so it is trying to. btw...Your phone will always charge faster plugged into the wall. Give it some time and the problem will go away.

This must be random restart day. OK do you have a task killer or virus protection? If so delete them. If not then try a hard factory reset. See if the problem disappears. Start restoring your apostle slowly on an as need basiss until you fines the problem app.

what's a hard factory reset?

settings/privacy/factory data reset.

Your phone then needs you to log into gmail again, you get to redownload apps you want, and set up your shortcuts and apps on your desktop again.

Delete task killer(s)? Why? Are they all bad? Any citations?

Task killers have shown themselves to be problematic. Specifically Advance Task Killer. I actually have one installed on my phone called Task Manager and that's never caused any problems. But many people have reported that once they removed ATK their problem went away.

That's not a hard factory reset, though that may work as well. Follow this link for directions on doing a hard reset:

Thanks Hook...forgot that was there. This would definitely be handy if you couldn't stay booted up long enough to get into the settings area and wanted to wipe all data.

Bill, I mean Hook,

Thanks. It's worth a shot; I just deleted ATK. Thanks.
