Droid Incredible Gingerbread Update This Summer

The awesome Droid Incredible owners we have here are getting a bit of good news coming from the rumor mills today. A recent “letter” from HTC says Droid Incredible owners should expect a fresh out the oven Gingerbread OTA update to be pushed out by the summer to their devices. This update would come right along the same time frame as every other Droid update including the Droid 2, Droid X, and whatever else has the name Droid on it. This update rumor seems very accurate because if you remember HTC and Verizon have won the “fastest update” award on countless occasions, so having a title like that makes this a very possible time frame.

I understand your concern about wanting to know when the Android 2.3 upgrade will be released for the HTC Incredible. I’m pleased to inform you that there is going to be an update this summer to Android 2.3 (Gingerbread). At this time we do not have any more information about the update. When the update is released we will announce it on www.htc.com and www.facebook.com/htc.

Us DX owners are already getting GB so maybe it'll be sooner than later for all you DI owners.

The Incredible is already a slick little phone...can't wait to see it run even faster on some Gingerbread!
