droid highlighting my text in orange and deleting

when i try an send a text message it will highlight my text in orange and delete all that i've textd..and also my c button on the actual kep pad is not working help me please

I have the same problem. Then when I try retyping the message, as soon as I get to the same spot, it deletes the text. I have to exit out of the text before it will work. Anyone?
