Droid headset not hanging up

Using a wired stereo headset with mic and single button control. I can answer calls fine but when I click the button again it only mutes the phone and does not hang up. I've tried long press and that does not do anything either. Anyone out there with a wired headset that actually hangs up the phone?

Same here...I have the exact same problem with my head unit JVC kd-a805, however it does not happen on every call.
