I just got my Droid Eris a few days ago, and it's been great, but I'm noticing since last night that the messages app hasn't been working properly.
It saves all of my conversations in its cache, but more often than not, it "forgets" who the contacts are, and instead just lists their phone numbers. Then once it finally sorts that stuff out, it reboots itself in the middle of my replies, without saving drafts or anything like that. It does this several times before succumbing and finally functioning, and once it gives in it works fine. But if I close out Messages, I have to redo the whole process.
Does anyone have a similar problem, or know how to fix it? It's really becoming frustrating, but I don't want to take it to the VZW store if I don't have to.
I don't have too many apps installed, my memory is fine, and I've run antivirus and kept everything clean, so I don't know what the problem might be. Thanks!
