So no one at all thinks that the benefits of SVG would be nice to have on the Droid..?

Those are benefits. Web layouts with images that automatically shrink or grow depending on browser size, making sure all websites look amazing at all resolutions, viewing graphics at ANY size and having them not pixelated or choppy...
Had you put this in your OP or worded it as such then a very good discussion would have come. But as your OP read it came off (to many) as an attack against the Droid or, at the very least a comparison that seemed to favor the iPhone.
Worded as you have recently put it you have brought about good points. This could be very useful and convenient. But it is a matter of which will technology can gain enough market-share to be worth supporting. Perhaps this will catch up.
Thank you for being mature about this. Didn't think people would get so protective over a phone.
Anyways, from what I read via google searching, svg was intentionally left out of android. The default browser is an HTML5 browser too. Maybe we'll get it soon.
