Anybody got the bionic startup red eye on there droid 3. I thought i heard someone say you could but i cant find anything.

Well I got the boot animation to work.. but I can't get the sound to. I have it in system/media/audio/notifications..

Just put it in /system/media and that's it. It will work. and make sure you rename it as well

You have to be rooted and have root explorer to do this...there is a /system/media file in root explorer and u rename it to transdroid.mp3 if it isn't named that already. Just paste that file in there and put the bootanimation.zip in /data/local

I take that back. You don't necessarily have to be rooted but it is a lot easier to find and edit the files

So what am I renaming, system/media/ file or droid bionic sound which is bionic.ogg. im trying to paste the bionic.ogg in the /system/media/ file but it keeps saying it read only file

U r going to rename the ogg file. That's what I did and renamed it to what I said in the last post. And when u r in /system/media u have to mount r/o. Right now you are in read only. Are you using root explorer or what?
