Droid and my car

I have an auxiliary input in my car(like everyone else). Is there a way to connect the Droid to it to play music from it so I can hear it over the internal speakers?

yea just get a 3.5 mm cable and plug it into the droid's headphone jack an your cars aux port. the sound is great, an the amazing this is you can even take calls through your car speakers and not have to hold the phone up to your ear. it works great!!

Yep just buy the cable to go from your droid to the input, I use mine to listen to Pandora and more while on the road.

I have been doing this with no problems for the past few weeks, using doggcatcher to play podcasts and Pandora for music.

However recently (? since the update to 2.01) I have been having problems with the microphone not working when I am hooked up to the car sound system. When I unplug the headphone jack and use the speakerphone everything works OK but obviously I lose the benefit of the car sound system.

What this means is that I can't make or answer phone calls when I am using the headphone connection.

Anyone else with this problem? I am not sure if it is doggcatcher or if it is a hardware issue or what? I have tried this with headphones and same problem.

yup, i work at a shack. all you need is a 3.5 to 3.5 both male ends. it should be around 6-10 bucks. i hook my droid up to my car radio wherever i go. i use DroidLive though mostly. i'm not as happy with Pandora as i used to be. i prefer just choosing by genre and hearing a wider range of music.
