Droid 4 has tough time with internet connection

I have 2 users with Droid 4s. One loves the phone and has no complaints. The other use (20 miles away) says she always has a tough time connecting to the internet with her droid 4. She previously had a Droid 2 and didn't have the internet connection problems with it. Do you think it is a 4G issue or a bad phone? Thanks, Sedge

Too little information, friend. What does your friend have where she lives? 3G? 4G? If she had good connection with a D2 and has problems with a D4 I'd suspect a hardware issue.

...or a weak 4G signal versus a strong 3G signal. Have her force the "CDMA Only" network (3G) in the Settings\Wireless and Networks\Mobile Network\Network Mode menu. If her internet works fine after this change then it is likely a matter of the signal she has for 4G at her location. Verizon tells us they are adding quite a bit of 4G coverage this year and claim to have a target of 4G coverage to match current 3G coverage by the end of 2012, pretty ambitious so we will have to wait and see. Keep us posted on the results and if this trick worked.
