Droid 4 Announcement Leads to Droid 3 Price Drop - VZW for $100 Bucks; Amazon 1 Penny

Now that the Motorola Droid 4 was officially announced at CES, the venerable Droid 3 just received a price drop over at Verizon. You can now pick up the device for $99.99 on a new contract. Of course, Amazon has the device on a "tiny bit" better special. You can get the Droid 3 for only a single cent on a new contract, or only $19.99 on a renewed contract. Still, we knew this would happen at some point; although it's mildly surprising it happened before the Droid 4 is even on the market. A ton of folks are fans of the Droid 3. If you don't care about 4G LTE, or can't get it in your area, these are great deals.

Hopefully the Razr will drop soon with the Maxx announcement and projected Jan 26 release date.

The 26th date has been changed to Coming Soon for the Maxx so don't hold your breath.

I payed $150 for my D3 back in july so non issue for me. It'll tide me over for 2yrs just fine.

I bought from Verizon. Just my standard 2yr upgrade.
I don't get caught up in this stuff anyways. New things always come out. I get the best available at the time of my upgrade. At that time it was the D3. Next time who knows what will be out? If you worry about the next thing you can't enjoy what you have.

I've not used mine, but if its not working return it. Its under warranty.
Got mine launch day as well. I got some loyalty discounts if I remember.

Anyone hear any new chatter on when the Droid 4 will released? I'm hoping it comes out tomorrow when they broadcast their extended service.

My droid I has officially reached its end of life after I thought I could successfully replace the digitizer!
