Droid 3 Camera App Unable to Initialize

I have an unrooted Droid 3 and I cannot use the camera any more. It won't load and gives a "Camera is unable to initialize" error.

I tried deleted the camera app data and cache, then removing the battery or restarting normally, but to no avail. Any suggestions?

If your using a newer ROM: use an older version. Some CM9 ROMs have a working cam.
Or maybe the internal flexcable got disconnected.
