droid 2 update problem with contacts

i have the droid 2 global in white and after the update when i type a name in the text messaging app i only see phone numbers, i dont know why i was hoping to maybe have someone email the legit update so i can install that because i think i just have a bad update but im not exactly sure this is also a replacement new phone

Mine does it too. Just use handcent, it's the best text messaging app on the market, IMHO.

i wanna know if its possible to fix this one, im aware of handscent and i dont like it very much, also is there anyway someone knows where the updates kept and send me theirs online because my friend has a droid 2 in blue and it works fine after the update, that when this whole thing happened
