Someone help me here. Im trying to root my phone for the first time and have no idea how to do so. I dont have a computer at my apt. I have tried downloading 4shared>z4root 1.3.0apk, but it will not work on my phone for some reason? HELP PLZ!!!!"

I need some help. I have the droid 2 global. Its just not working.like i want it too. Can you tell me some things that help me out. Its running android 2.3.4 is there something newer etc pleasee.

2.3.4 is latest official update
you can root with ezSBF & Root 2.3.4/ 4.5.629
Install Droid 2 Bootstrap
then try a custom rom like
CM9-D2G-01032013
Pooka-CM4D2G-GB-20120519
GummyKang v1.1
MiKangyUI v4-D2G-1.9.13

you need a pc or mac to root, z4root does not work on 2.3 or higher
