Droid 2 global potentially 4g?

This was just a crazy idea I had, the droid 2 global has a sim card slot and I am pretty sure that lte devices use sim card as well, so do you think the global could become a 4g phone?

Depends what you understand under 4G. I've recently heard HSPA+ networks like the one AT&T and T-Mobile run will be recognized as 4G (which is wrong IMO - 4G is LTE and eventually WiMAX).
If you mean Verizon's LTE network - it is not something D2G can chew on. So in this case - it is not a 4G phone.
