Droid 2 Global/PC Video Issue

Hi,

I recently started using a Droid 2 Global, and I have found that all of the videos I record are not widescreen when I play them back on a pc. They all have black borders on the left and right edges. Does anyone have an idea why this happens? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Video resolution

Your phone records 720 X 480p, and your monitor is most likely 1080p, so since the image cannot fill the entire 1080p screen, it shows the black bars on the side. Look in the settings and set it to "wide" when you view your videos, and the monitor will re-sync the image to fill the screen. You may need the remote to access your menu to navigate the settings. D2G does widescreen video, that just means it is 16.9 aspect ration, not 4.3, so, more like a dvd than your dads old crt tv.
