Droid 2 Extended Battery Door Size

I bought a Droid 2 and bought a cover from Verizon. I see that it's raised a little so figured it would handle an extended battery and door. However the extended batteries and door look like they stick out a lot further. Unless the smaller extended batteries have a slightly smaller door. But no one gives you the size the door sticks out or if there is a difference. I don't wan to get an extended battery if it stick out so much I loose using my cover.

I guess if there are different size covers for different size batteries, what are the size differences?
