Droid 2 Battery/Charging issues

Recently my Droid 2 Global has been having battery/charging problems. The phone will not charge at all using the wall charger, and when I use the usb charger for the computer, the phone will sit and charge for about an hour. After this it turns on by itself, burns through what little battery it has managed to charge, and then dies agian very quickly. For some reason the phone will not charge while turned on. I am at a loss about what to do about this other than getting a new phone, which I'd much rather not do. Any help would be greatly appriciated.

Sounds to me like it's not the charger, it's the battery. Take it to a Verizon store and they can tell you for sure.

BTW, you can get a new battery on Amazon for about 8.00.

Just got my new battery. It charges fine off the computer but the wall charger still will not work for some reason. I have yet to try a car charger or another usb port. My guess is the charger and battery got fried a few nights ago during a thunderstorm.
