when you're playing the game, press the hotkey you set for gamecih to call the app to the foreground.
there are three search options to choose from:
input number is a search where you use the stat you're trying to change (like $$$ or RP...HP, weight, grip and times cant get hacked) and search for it.
low level search collects every possible byte of numbers and lets you try to find the stat. It isnt good at all because you cant search for a specific number when doing this. To be fair though you cannot search for a specific number after you start the search with any the other stat finder options.
input name is where you try to search for a hexidecimal or bytecode value that is registered or used by the stat you want to look for. this method does not work well because you cant search for a number and have it translated into hex/byte, and there is no window that lets you see the searchable numbers that might be what youre looking for until the possible stats (which very well might be wrong) get below like 250
then you increase/decrease the amount of $ or RP by racing or spending, and then press the plus button on the gamecih window if the number increased and likewise the minus button if decreased. repeat this until you find the value that is $/RP and you can edit it up to 999999999.
in all honesty this app is very very basic, but for simple things it gets the job done. there also is no pro/full version although the app will tell you certain things cant be done in lite. It is missing a decent user interface with more options and a better search feature. Searching isnt good at all because you cant search for a specific number after the search is started. Also there is no window or info box that lets you see the searchable numbers that might be what youre looking for until the possible stats (which very well might be wrong) get below like 250.
all in all I'd rate it at a 3/10...there may have been some effort put in the app in the beginning of development, but it just feels very basic and the lack of features makes it only usable for simple hacks. to sum it all up, it only works for simple numbers or simple games, and probably wont help you with emulators and newer/more polished games
