Download Icon always on

I downloaded Skype mobile yesterday and the arrow pointing down on a line is still up there. Is there something wrong, or an easy fix. I got my phone free, so no Verizon store for me.

If its in your notification bar just push clear on the upper right of your notification after you slide it down of course.
