Does Verizon split text messages regardless of your settings?

I am using GOsms and my brother keeps receiving my longer text messages broken into pieces (e.g. long texts with links). I have checked both my GOsms and the stock text message settings and neither are set to split large messages.

Is this a Verizon issue? AT&T? Or maybe something with my Droid Incredible?

(he uses an Inspire on AT&T)

It will always split unless you are texting inside verizon network.

Its a compatibility thing.

You say it's split "with links". Do you mean you are trying to send a link to a webpage within the text? For sending webpage links, I just use the Google chat function. That solves the issue of the text getting split up.
