Does the battery re-calibration work for ICS?

Fox Kat gave some good advice once about letting your battery drain down to 15%, then powering off the phone, charging it up overnight, and then using it. He recommended doing this every couple months to re-calibrate the battery. Should this be done with ICS?

I am doing that right now after draining it to 15% ... it's off and charging. I went 27 hours on a battery with ICS, so on FoxKat's advice, I am doing a recharge right this very minute.
