Do you go naked?

I have yet to find a single DROID case that didn't look bulky and awkward., so my solution was to simply paint my DROID.

I used a mixture of platinum pearl, metal-flake, and Imron clear to create a 'tough as nails' exterior finish with a slightly textured surface (similar to my Sony X1000) so as to make the handset considerably more 'grip-able'.

Just for kicks, I added a gold stripe and finished 25% of the back in Imron Gloss Black.

It's been extremely durable, and keeps my DROID from looking like anyone else's.

Yes, I know it's an 'extreme' solution, but many consider me a rather 'extreme' guy - LOL!

Very cool, BUT would make for an interesting warranty exchange/replacement claim! It would suck after all that work if you had to have it replaced for some problem!!

Not really, I recently bought a couple of 'Dummy' DROIDs off of eBay, and can always just swap out the body panels if something goes awry, and if that doesn't work... I can always just by another one.

Naked for me, too (except for the Invisible Screen)... I love to hold my Droid and warm it up with my hands.....:yeahbaby01:

Not sure you are aware, but most county health clinics offer free therapy for behaviour like this... JUST KIDDING! :-)

my Droid is nude. the day i bought it the guy at Best Buy thought i was the biggest moron in the world for not wanting a case. he was like "are you serious? you're not going to use a case?" this phone is rock solid and i am always careful with my phones. so no case for me.

Nekkid. Although Im ocnstantly checking for scuffs and scratches. Even with the BB black tie protection LOL.
No sooner did I type this I got a slight surface scratch on the upper left corner of the face. Left of the ear piece. I think it was from the mrs. accidentaly trying to put it in the GPS dock the wrong way. Its not really noticeable, unless you have OCD like me LOL. Anybody know of good surface scratch remedies?

I go without a case, but i do keep a screen protector on there. Not sure how much protecting of the screen it would do, but i'm happy it keeps dirty fingers off of it :)

the main thing i worry about is how easy it may or may not be to crack the glass screen. we have all seen the video of the guy taking the key to it and it not scratching one bit, but glass will definitely crack if hit hard enough. either way, a case or screen protector won't prevent this any. if it's hit hard enough or dropped from enough distance the screen may still crack.

i HAVE to cover it.

and there is nothing like having a crocodile style case that really looks business, and then pull out a bare naked Milestone in front of to iPod fanboys ^^

:icon_ banana:

Naked. No sense in worrying about it since I have insurance and I'm only going to have it for a year. Annual upgrades FTW!

Initially, these comments seem cavalier, even flippant. However, upon closer inspection, it makes good sense.

After having egrips on my Treo for a while, the phone looked brand new when i finally peeled it off...to give to my daughter for a play phone.

I just may continue to go "raw dog" with the Droid after all.....

Commando or bust. I like how the Droid feels, and a case or a screen protector would ruin the whole dynamic.

I usually try to get a case since I have a tendency to drop my phones alot. Lucky for me, none of them ever broke. I was very nervous with my iphone since you really couldn't get insurance for it and I dropped it a few times on cement.

I was gonna get one for my Droid but since I couldn't find any I liked or they're not very good, I decided to go without one. I have insurance on it so I'm not too concern.
