Do not use sbf after 2.3.20

Do not sbf backwards from 2.3.20. If you are rooted you need to wait for a dev to release it or wait for the 2.3.20 sbf.

what could happen if you don't mind me asking? Not that i would ever go back to stock, bloated, vz nav infected. Does anyone know if Angdroid is working on this? or is this not a big deal since we have 2.4.5?
thanks

It bricks the phone. much like what happened to me a few hours ago. :(.

BRICKED...aka
$600 paper weight

the devs are working on it but its gonna take time. They have lives, families, and work to deal with as well. Its not gonna be their job to rush and get a fix cuz someone decided they wanted the ota but then changed their mind cuz they want roms. This has been going on for awhile. We know moto is no longer allowing phones to flash back to a previous version. SO if you want root wait until the devs put out a rom or find an exploit. If you decide to get impatient then you will be waiting awhile until they find a root exploit, or if you decide to flash sbf anyway you will need to explain to vzw why your phone do not work.

There may be a fix if you are bricked. A dev pmed me. I will get back at you guys.

We are working on a solution to this problem. It may take a little time but we already have methods for reverting the DX back from the 2.3.15 OTA.

The most important thing right now is for everyone to be aware of the problem and minimize the damage until we have a manageable fix.

See the thing is i had problems after the OTA update and when I restarted, it'd load into Clockwork recovery and i'd have to hit "reboot phone now" THEN it'd load android.

I was only going to go back to stock, then do the OTA update (if it let me) then stay there.

but god has different plans for me and my phone. now im alone. :(

question though. aren't the d2 and dx very similar? meaning a fix for the dx could work for the d2?

what are the chances verizon will replace it?

See Team Defuse irc for their method they asked me not to post it yet.
