Anyone know if there needs to be anew kernel or the do2 sv 1200 gonna be okay?

There are no DL30 voodoo kernels yet. If you've loaded the leak or any packages built from it then you have a new kernel which is specific to froyo. The devs need to have the kernel source code in order to adapt voodoo to it as I understand it.
