Distribution email list

Does anyone know if there is a way to import distribution lists from google contacts or outlook? If not, does anyone know how to create a distribution list on the droid to send from the droid? Not sure if I am wording this correctly. Basically, I want to send emails to multiple people from the droid without having to type there email address in every time. Thanks for your help. I did not have much luck searching for an answer to this.

GroupU app on the market syncs with google mail groups (both ways - you can create online or on your phone) and takes the group emails and adds them to the "TO" from the gmail on your phone. It does NOT appear to work with Touchdown Exchange app if you're using that for work. Right now I'm using the free version. Paid app is like $3, not sure if there's a time limit or more features or what...

Still a problem

Still a problem with plain Gmail. Still need something like GroupU. Why is this a problem for Google?
