Direct Messaging Default

Need help getting my direct messaging shortcuts defaulted back to Handcent. Have uninstalled and reinstalled Handcent as suggested elsewhere in DF. That didn't work. Everything else defaults to Handcent. Is there a way to clear defaults for the stock messaging app? Have even tried adding new shortcuts after reinstalling Handcent. Thanks in advance for any help.

Have you tried clearing defaults via Settings->Applications->Manage Applications? That's the standard way.

Was originally having problems finding the stock messaging app under "Manage Applications." I was looking under the "Downloaded" tab instead of "All." Cleared its defaults and am back in business. Thanks!
