Delete an attempted download from Browser on Droid X

I was on my browser on my Droid X searching images for my wallpaper background, and one of the images I clicked on started an automatic download. I wasn't connected to WiFi, so now there is a big orange exclamation mark in my top toolbar. When I go to get more information it says

"Ongoing
<Untitled> wallpaperswide.com"

It's telling me the file is too large, and requires WiFi to download. I want to delete it because I'm afraid it's a virus or something, but nothing I do will make the notification go away. When I go in to manage my downloads, I select it and hit "Clear Selection" but nothing happens.

If you couldn't delete it from downloads then try going to Apps/running apps & force stop the download or the browser. If that don't work, I'd try turning it off then back on

I've tried restarting the phone a few times without any success. The download is paused because I'm not on WiFi (when I connect to WiFi, it automatically starts again), but I can't find it in the running apps.
