Can someone enlighten me as to when the phone enters deep sleep? And what is exactly going on with deep sleep?

Can you disable deep sleep? Any advantage in doing so?

I have a profile set up to have it set to 350 with screen off.

My phone is usually split between deep sleep and the 350mhz slot.

Instead of turning off the screen manually, let it turn off automatically, I've heard this helps with the deep sleep issue. Also I'm assuming you're running a ROM, head to the developer's page and see if the issue has been addressed.

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.gsamlabs.bbm or https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.asksven.betterbatterystats either can help you find what is keeping your device awake. It may be ROM related, like maybe SDM.apk is causing a problem. Maybe it is a kernel issue. One of those apps should be able to help you narrow down the list of possibilities.

Thanks for your suggestions guys. I just downloaded the bada$$ app. Will report back. Thanks...

Wakelocks are essentially what prevents your phone from deep sleeping. Some by design, some perhaps unintentional. Wakelocks aren't necessarily always bad, but hunting down the cause to see if you can reduce them or kill them completely may be a good idea.

I am working, so I can't get into this too heavily. But from a quick glance at those screenshots, I am still a little clueless as to what the problem would be. I would let it go for a while, before running BA battery again. Just use the phone as normal, then later in the day, or once you have gotten the battery down a bit more than 5% take a look again.

Seems as though this Verizon car charger will keep it from going into deep sleep. Is that possible???

That couldd very well be. On the OG Droid, it couldn't be in the slowest slot while charging [I think slot 3 was default]. But with the different hardware it may be different. I will try and investigate this.
