Decouple ringtone and notifications

Does anybody know of a way to decouple notifications from ringtone volume? My notifaction is just way too loud and my ringtone is too quiet when I turn it down. I tried using a market app but it doesn't seem to work.

I have tried to look for a solution as well without any luck. Just one of those quirks with MIUI that I hope they fix soon.

Early versions had ring and noti sounds coupled together. Then for about 3 - 4 releases they had them separated. And now a couple weeks ago we find them joined together again. I too wish they operated independently.

Try Audiomanager from the market

You don't need an app. Go to Settings > Sound > Volume > Uncheck "Use Incoming call volume for notifications" then set them each individually

That's the problem, on the version of MIUI I am on (D1-MIUI-1.1.14.0) that setting does not exist. What version are you on?

Latest version of MIUI has them separate, so you can update to that to resolve your issue.

+1 settings>personal>sound settings>uncheck "use ringtone volume" then set your pleasure
